aquascaping plants Video 7 Dealing with the 33 gallon sess pool

This video may seem out of sorts because I've been compiling footage over the course of the last week.  The plan to deal with the issues in this tank have been continually evolving as I went.  

The plant that I said I would look up is some form of Microsorum and I actually had the dorsal fin right, imagine that :)

Up to this point I have shortened the length of time the tank is under high light from 8 hours down to 6 hours a day and I have lowered the intensity. 

I've done two 50%+ water changes this week and scrubbed down the sides of the tank before both.  

I've done a bleach dip on all of the plants and then sprayed them down with hydrogen peroxide.  This seems to have greatly reduced the amount of BBA which gives me hope that I can now keep in under control until it's irradiated. 

I plan to do another 50% water change this weekend and then follow up with 10 to 15 % changes every other day throughout the next week.  

I also plan to diffuse Co2 into the tank as soon as I pick up the last few items I need to install this.  

My Parameters are all within safe ranges, although nitrates seem to rise quickly between water changes.  I know this is a natural phenomenon but when you consider the number of plants growing in this tank in combination with the fact that it is a 33 gallon tank that houses only four fish, (3 juvenile rainbow sharks and one guppy).  The nitrate appears to be rising much faster than it should be.  

I am still suspicious of the stone used in the scape and wonder if that is somehow messing with my parameters.
